Are we at times convinced that things are “same old, same old”?

Why do we feel that way?

I heard myself say lately that this day will never, never come around again; therefore, nothing is doomed to be stuck or repeated forever, even though it surely can often appear as such. Nothing is truly ordinary; everything is unique.

Although it may look like ” been there, done that, what’s new”? We can remind ourselves that we are part of evolution, and things are moving forward all the time, with or without our doing or thinking about it.

Even though our perception might be that nothing is moving and things are just the same, stagnancy is real, maybe things seem to go backward, but it is also possibly an experience asking to be examined. How could that be speaking to someone, and how could it open up practical applications?

Well,  if we believe we are stuck in a rut, then we can look at the bigger picture if this is a part of a rhythm we are in, with a very slowed-down intermezzo. And we can ask: what is this feeling of being stuck in a rut saying, what is the message, what can we glean from that perception, how can we understand that feeling better, and how can we learn from it to move forward…

The grace is in recognizing juxtaposition. Once we recognize the sense of stagnation, we can focus on inviting flow, and in recognizing the difference between both, we can tap into the larger rhythm of our life, the lives of everybody around us, and how we perceive reality altogether.

So, even if things seem to be going completely backwards, maybe there’s a reason yet to be discovered? Maybe the recognition stimulates new energy flows and opens up new resources to eventually, maybe not today, not even quite tomorrow,  move forward with a different impetus, with a different type of energy, and also with the ability to open up new directions.

Whenever we feel severely affected by that, let’s remind each other that there is a rhythm to life, and even slowness and stagnation mright be part of the overall rhythm.  It could encourage us to be more creative, think outside the box, and truly question everything we have believed.

Maybe it is an opportunity to reassess our values, our goals, and most importantly, our relationships.

If we desire to feel a state of flow again, how do we relate to each other? How do we relate to ourselves?
