If we walk through life with an authentic sense of gratitude, even for the smallest things, we will never be walking alone.
Grace will be walking beside us.

But if we walk through life with anger, resentment, or even righteous indignation, sooner or later, we may find ourselves walking alone.
Others may already be carrying burdens too heavy to also carry parts of ours.

And so the journey becomes lonely.
There might be no one to help us hold the weight of grief, guilt, shame, or regret.

The emotional load grows heavier and begins to permeate our being with dis-ease.
The distractions, shiny objects, ego-boosting habits, and addictive substances that once seemed comforting become added toxins.

Finding our way back to inner peace and contentment can feel long and very arduous.
Yet it is through kindness, compassion, and learning to love ourselves and others as expressions of the same divine essence that we begin returning home.
From kindness embodied, forgiveness naturally arises.

As difficult as this path may first appear, it is the way home we are all meant to walk.
To feel truly at home here on earth, midst its beauty and imperfection, is our birthright.

Self-righteousness keeps us separated from one another, while compassion, understanding, and a sense of unity guide us back to each other and to ourselves.

Then we begin to perceive one another as equals, gathered here to create a symphony of experiences through which we come to understand what it means to be human on this planet.
And through that understanding, we free ourselves from judgment and realize that we have the freedom to create heaven on earth.

We learn to recognize the shadow so that we may recognize the light.

Ultimate freedom is never given to us by another.
It is discovered by going deep within, listening, reawakening what has always been there, and fully resurrecting it.
